Shipei Qiu, hailing from Shanghai, China, is studying for an MA in Photography and Urban Culture at Goldsmiths, University of London. She‘s works mainly focus on exploring the interplay between urban theory and the visual representation of urban cultures and reflect the topics such as urban change, family relationships and gender issues. Her project <Echoes of Play> began in early 2023, focuses on different community play areas in East London and the human traces within them. It is an attempt to explore the relation between people, the manmade landscape and communities, and to explore the materiality of the space through different angles of looking at them.
